Mayya is an ANCC certified Family Nurse Practitioner and NCBDE certified Diabetes Educator. She holds a Master of Science in Nursing from SUNY Downstate Medical Center.

She is a wife and the proud mother of two grown children. When her kids first started school, she decided to also go back to school to become a nurse. After completing her studies, she began working on the telemetry/med-surge floor at Northwell Health/ Long Island Jewish Forest Hills, and has been proudly and diligently serving her patients for over 10 years.

As a family nurse practitioner, Mayya’s goal is to help patients manage chronic diseases by spending more time with them and by offering individualized care after their hospitalization. This way, patients will stay healthier longer and will have fewer hospitalizations. Mayya believes in providing the same care to her patients that she would expect to be given from her primary care physician.

In her spare time, Mayya loves to jog in the outdoors. She likes to travel and listen to the music. But most of all she enjoys spending time with her family.
